Richard Petronzio has been working for Bayer Pharmaceuticals for more than six years and currently serves as senior director of business insights at the German company.
With a career spanning nearly 20 years, Petronzio has led projects in the areas of commercial and product strategy, including market assessment, positioning, launch, portfolio development, business growth, life-cycle management and competitive analysis.
Before joining Bayer Pharmaceuticals, he was with Platform Advisors, a division of The CDM Group, according to his LinkedIn profile.
As vice president and associate director at Platform Advisors, he supervised project execution across major pharmaceutical manufacturer and biotechnology accounts.
He served as the boutique life sciences strategy firm’s vice president and manager of commercial strategy as well. In this role, he was responsible for the design and delivery of strategy development projects.
Petronzio also held consultancy roles at Capgemini Consulting, focusing on life sciences, marketing, strategy, commercial strategy and transformation.
He started out his career as a business development associate at UK Trade & Investment. During this time, he managed foreign direct investment marketing and client relationship programs.
Petronzio holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of St. Andrews and a Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University.
