Vonage is looking for a business development director who will be responsible for growing the company’s applications business in key technology partnerships.
The successful candidate will report to the vice president of business development and will be tasked with establishing the OneVonage market position by managing business relationships that would enable the company to leverage its assets across multiple markets and channels.
In addition, the candidate is expected to strike business deals by negotiating with potential partners, evaluating new markets and researching industry trends, Vonage posted on LinkedIn.
He or she would also serve as the company’s day-to-day partner relationship manager, which entails defining go-to-market strategies and priorities for key strategic alliances. Among other things, the candidate must track the success metrics for the company’s partners, including overall adoption / penetration results.
The full-time role also requires the evaluation and development of integration approaches, deal requirements, financial implications, prioritization justifications and internal stakeholder support. Another key responsibility for the role is working with ecosystem partners to define joint value propositions, sources of differentiation, messaging and positioning.
Vonage is interested in candidates with at least eight years of experience in business development and a track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets in high growth technologies. The role also requires prior experience in a collaborative environment, including product, marketing, business, sales, and technical personnel across varying functional areas.
The ideal candidate must have an advanced understanding of software-as-a-service, customer experience and the cloud communications marketplace. He or she must also be able to simplify frameworks for improved organizational understanding and decision-making.
