Defense Contractor SAIC Looking for Principal Competitive Intelligence Analyst

Science Applications International Corp. is looking for a principal competitive intelligence analyst to join the competitive and strategic intelligence team supporting the company’s corporate business development organization.

The principal analyst will work closely with the CSI team and other groups to conduct research projects and analyze and provide actionable insights to influence bid and corporate strategies.

Key responsibilities include developing and presenting customer and competitor trends and analyses to capture and leadership teams; providing constructive feedback to peer analysts regarding CSI assumptions and analyses; developing new tools and visualizations to support internal deliverables and BD community needs; and assisting with process automation and improvement, an announcement on LinkedIn said.

The position will also assist in the development of a database and automation of data aggregation processes.

The Reston, Virginia-based information technology company said the position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field with more than nine years of experience in business development, business strategy, competitive intelligence or market research and analysis.

The ideal candidate must also posses experience in using government database sources including the Federal Procurement Data System and GovWin, and expertise in data management, data analysis and reporting, including data mining, dashboard development and data visualizations.

SAIC is a defense contractor that offers secure high-end solutions in engineering, IT modernization, cybersecurity and cloud services to customers across the defense, space, federal civilian and intelligence markets.

The company was recently selected to modernize the hardware and software of the Air Force’s Technology Application Development and Sustainment system under a potential five-year, $630M contract.
